IMD Weather LIVE Updates: Intense rainfall has caused significant disruptions in central and northern India on Saturday, leading to traffic issues and severe waterlogging. Himachal Pradesh has been particularly affected, experiencing cloudbursts, flash floods, and landslides that have severely impacted daily activities. Tragically, at least 69 fatalities have been reported in Himachal due to weather-related incidents. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red and orange alerts for several states, warning of extremely heavy rainfall in the upcoming days.

Additionally, the weather agency has forecasted heavy rains for Delhi, Bengaluru, and Rajasthan. Over the next 48 hours, heavy rainfall is anticipated to affect Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan, East Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir.
The Met Department has indicated that the southwest monsoon will remain active over the western Himalayan region and the plains for the next week. Residents are urged to exercise caution and take necessary precautions to safeguard themselves from rain-related hazards. It is advisable to stay updated with the latest weather bulletins from the IMD, seek shelter in safe locations, avoid unnecessary travel, and steer clear of conductive objects.
